Number of Farmers and Production:

Around 80% of farm families in Manggarai grow some coffee, though often as a backyard crop rather than intensive cultivation.

Robusta coffee plantations cover approximately 17,419 hectares with a production volume estimated around 4,492 tons per year.

Arabica coffee plantations cover about 5,769 hectares with a production volume of roughly 1,241 tonnes per year.

In East Manggarai Regency specifically, there are about 3,790 hectares of Arabica coffee and 13,167 hectares of Robusta coffee plantations, producing thousands of tons annually.

Coffee is grown mainly between altitudes of 300 to 1800 meters depending on the type Robusta generally at lower altitudes (300–600 m) and our coffee as Arabica harvested at higher altitudes (up to 1800 m).
